The ability to control other characters

I allow minor controlling of my character. For example if a character has suggested their character and mine should go somewhere, and my character agrees, I'm fine with the next post being 'when they arrived at ____' because it saves time and cuts out boring posts. I also have no problem with RPers that I know fairly well making up a few minor incidents in the past, like say, a colleague of one of my characters discussing the time my character got drunk and got into a fight with a shop mannequin or something like that. In general I'd only trust that to people who I've been RPing with for a while though.

On the other hand, I would not want other writing my own character for me, especially not if it was purely for the fact that I wasn't around to post. If nothing else, it'd make me feel rather superfluous if people were just using my character without my input, and beyond that, even with a detailed character sheet, there are lots of small quirks to a character that might not have been brought up.

For instance one of my characters has a whole load of hang-ups which are subtly noticeable. She doesn't like physical contact, and despite being a vampire, she hates biting people. Now, since I don't want to tell everyone in the RP the reasons for that, I want the characters to interpret that in their own way. I don't necessarily want to have to spell it out to everyone, I want some things to remain a secret for a reveal later, and I wouldn't want someone else taking the character and portraying her using their theory of why she behaves that way, because it'll be inconsistent.

Hopefully I'm making sense here.

University Communications sent an email on behalf of Business Services to the campus community this afternoon stating ?recent developments regarding Higher One have led us to believe that their service is not in the best interest of our students.? For more information, call the Business Office at (210) 784-2022.

According to Higher One, summer students should have received a bright green envelope in the mail earlier this month. Fall students were expected to receive the same envelope shortly. Inside is the ?My One Money? card Lauren Perry, Higher One?s client relations specialist, said.

Through Higher One, students were expected to have the option to receive their financial aid refunds via paper check, direct deposit to an existing bank account or same day deposit to an optional Higher One checking account.

?The purpose that it serves is to give students a choice of how they receive their refund money,? Perry said. ?Higher one is helping streamline operations, increase efficiency and eliminate costs associated with paper, postage and mailing of checks.?

An email sent to the campus on Business Services letterhead ?stated the university is terminating its agreement in consult with A&M-Kingsville ?based on a determination that it will not effectively meet the needs of our students.?

Huawei Ascend P1 review

Thin, fast, and light, Huawei is poised to make waves with the Ascend P1 -- but is it enough to gain a foothold in new markets?

Huawei is certainly a bit of an anomaly to me. They're huge in some markets but struggle in others (like the States), because the hardware they've released here has always been less-than-stellar. Then they go and release a phone like the Ascend P1 and turn my whole notion of them on its head.

To parrot what was said about the Epic 4G Touch, the Huawei Ascend P1 could simply simply be described as thin, fast, and light. (As a matter of fact, the P1 S is supposed to be the thinnest smartphone around.) With a pentaband radio inside, you'll be chatting and surfing the 'net the whole world over.
